Juvenile found suffering from traumatic injuries inside vehicle after crash in Montgomery County, authorities say
WASHINGTON - Authorities say a juvenile was found inside of a vehicle suffering from traumatic injuries after a crash on a Montgomery County street Thursday morning.
Police say the crash happened around 7:18 a.m. in the 300 block of Wayne Avenue in the Silver Spring area.
Investigators believe after the crash, two of the vehicle’s occupants fled leaving the juvenile male behind inside. He was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
Police say four other victims from another vehicle were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say an initial assessment by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service indicated that the juvenile’s injuries could have been the result of a shooting. After a medical examination, it was determined that all injuries were as a result of the traffic collision.
An investigation is continuing at this time.
