This isn't first time Nye - a D.C. native - has spoken at Goucher College. Nye also delivered the commencement address in 1999 when he received an honorary doctor of letters degree.
The Goucher College Commencement ceremony is set for Friday, May 24 at 10:30 a.m.
Nye's mother, Jacqueline Jenkins-Nye, was a Goucher "code girl," who was selected by the Navy to work on missions decoding the German Enigma machines.
