Arrest made in northeast shooting; victim remains hospitalized

Police have made an arrest in a shooting that a man hospitalized and closed a northeast D.C. street for nearly 12 hours. 33-year-old Warren William Bibbs was arrested and charged with assault with intent to kill.

The shooting happened in the 2900 block of 14th Street on Monday around 8:30 p.m.

Police said they arrived to the scene and found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Bibbs was arrested late Monday night. Investigators have not released a motive for the shooting.
