65-year-old pedestrian struck and killed in Takoma Park

TAKOMA PARK, Md. - A 65-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Takoma Park, police say.

The male victim was hit on New Hampshire Avenue at Larch Avenue at around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver stayed at the scene after the collision, according to police.

The southbound lanes of New Hampshire Avenue were shut down in the area as the Montgomery County Police Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to investigate.
