Iran latest: Indirect US-Iran peace talks show progress in Qatar

Peace negotiations between the United States and Iran continued Wednesday in Qatar, although the two sides did not meet with each other. Pakistani and Qatari mediators met with delegations from both nations.

Qatar reported "positive progress [was] made," and the delegations agreed to continue discussions. Foreign ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari said those meetings will happen "at the earliest possible time" but will have to wait until after the funeral for Iran's former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Saturday.
