Wednesday brings plenty of sunshine and quickly rising temperatures. By afternoon the D.C. metro region and points west will rise into the mid-90s. The heat and the humidity combined could push the heat index values to the triple digit mark!
Spotty thunderstorms are possible by late afternoon, mainly to areas to the west. While widespread storm coverage is not expected, a few storms may be strong to severe.
Expect highs near 95 degrees on Wednesday and a similar forecast on Thursday with highs of 93 degrees. We heat back up during the weekend with temperatures near 90 degrees on Sunday.
