Former MCPS teacher sentenced to 12 years in prison for fatal fentanyl trafficking

Sarah Katherine Magid, a former Maryland first grade teacher, has been sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison for trafficking counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl that caused a victim's fatal overdose. Authorities revealed that Magid frequently dealt drugs during work hours, even leaving her classroom to conduct sales outside the school.
