Virginia to implement sweeping slate of new gun safety laws on July 1
Starting July 1, Virginia will enact a major package of gun safety laws designed to prevent gun violence and increase accountability across the state. The wide-ranging reforms include an assault weapons and high-capacity magazine ban, a prohibition on untraceable ghost guns, strict new firearm safe-storage mandates around minors and new standards holding the firearm industry civilly liable for negligent business practices.
