DC Weather: Heat wave to bring 100-degree temperatures, heat index near 110
The D.C. region is facing a stretch of dangerous heat, with temperatures expected to climb into the upper 90s today and 100-degree readings possible Thursday, Friday and Saturday. FOX 5’s Tucker Barnes says the heat index could approach 110 by Thursday and Friday afternoon. A heat advisory is set to take effect late this morning, with mostly dry conditions expected today and tomorrow. A few storms are possible Friday and Saturday, which could bring some relief from the extreme heat.
