TOP STORIES | DC Water CEO out amid boil advisory; Banfield sentenced to life in prison
A boil water advisory remains in effect for parts of Northwest D.C. after a loss of water pressure impacted about 5,000 customers. The update comes as DC Water’s board voted to part ways with CEO David Gaddis following criticism over the agency’s handling of a massive sewage spill into the Potomac River. Also, Brendan Banfield was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murders of his wife, Christine Banfield, and Joseph Ryan in Northern Virginia. FOX 5’s Bob Barnard was in the courtroom as the judge handed down the sentence.
