‘Worst I’ve ever seen’: Jellyfish surge keeps swimmers out of Ocean City water

A surge of sea nettle jellyfish is keeping some swimmers out of the water along parts of Maryland’s beaches and bays. Ocean City Beach Patrol Capt. Butch Arbin says the jellyfish activity is the worst he has seen in more than 50 years, with lifeguards responding to thousands of reported stings.
