Scattered storms hit DC region, bringing heavy rain, wind and travel delays

Scattered storms are moving through the D.C. area, bringing heavy rain, lightning and dark skies to parts of southern Montgomery County and Northwest D.C. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect through 10 p.m. as forecasters track potential travel delays and additional storm development through the evening.
