Snowy mess Friday morning causing traffic concerns; soaking rain expected into the evening

Many parts of the D.C. region are waking up to a wintry mess as a fast moving system that arrived overnight is bringing snow, sleet and rain to the area. Dozens of schools have closed or delayed their opening times and slippery conditions on the roadways are slowing the early morning commute.
