Foreign policy expert and former State Department official Joel Rubin joined The Final 5 on the second anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel ? the deadliest assault against Jews since the Holocaust. Rubin said while negotiations in Cairo may produce a short-term ceasefire and hostage deal, the broader path to a two-state solution has never looked more distant. He blamed Hamas for undermining past peace efforts, including during the Oslo era, and said removing the group from future governance in Gaza will be critical.
