Pizzeria Paradiso's signature Pride Pizza

During June, all 4 Pizzeria Paradiso locations will serve a Pride Pizza that was dreamed up by a proud LGBTQ+ employee. Like many members of the Puerto Rican diaspora, Alec Rivera was born in the mainland US to parents who were raised on the island. Puerto Rican culture, music, and food were an integral part of Alec’s upbringing. Escabeche de gandules, a traditional dish of pigeon peas and veggies, is commonly eaten as a side, a topping with plantains, or a dip for chips, and make an appearance on his signature Pride Pizza.
