Act could increase penalties for committing crimes in 'sacred spaces'

Maryland lawmakers want to increase the penalty for a crime committed in a “sacred place” after officials in Prince George’s County saw violence and bloodshed erupt in spaces ranging from on board a children’s school bus to a cemetery.
