In an election year, misinformation in news is a growing crisis but in a year when truth in journalism really matters, many newspapers are slashing jobs. Margot Susca, an assistant professor in the School of Communications at American University and the author of the new book “Hedged - How Private Investment Funds Helped Destroy American Newspapers And Undermine Democracy” joins On The Hill to talk about how a small number of hedge funds own a large percentage of newspaper chains and the impact it is having on our news.
