Russian mercenary group retreats following apparent agreement with Putin
Mercenary leader of the Wagner Group Yevgeny Prigozhin began marching his troops to Moscow, accusing Russia's defense minister and chief of the Russian armed forces of treason. Late Friday, Wager forces captured a regional military command center in southern Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin then condemned Prigozhin?s actions and vowed to crush the rebellion. Then, in an about face, the private military leader ordered his mercenaries to stop the march to Moscow and return to Ukraine. In an apparent agreement, he retreated and all charges against him will apparently be dropped. National Security expert Rebecca Grant, president of Iris Independent Research has covered this region for years and joins On The Hill to discuss the ongoing conflict.
