The lawyer claimed the article defamed Johnny Depp, and despite never naming him specifically, the article was meant to target Depp. The lawyer also spoke about Depp's reasoning for bringing the case against Heard, saying that Depp did it to fight for his reputation which was tarnished by Heard's allegations.
