The Washington Post broke the story of the National Archives resorting to seizing boxes of official records that former President Donald Trump took with him to Mar-a-Lago, instead of leaving them in D.C. The practice, outlined in the Presidential Records Act, aims to prevent any administration from leaving office with material that otherwise should be stored at the National Archives.
