Roads reopen near I-395 following police investigation
Roads near Interstate 395 in Arlington County have reopened following a police investigation. FOX 5's Maureen Umeh reports live from the scene with the latest details.
ARLINGTON, Va. - Roads near Interstate 395 in Arlington County reopened around 5 a.m. Monday following overnight police activity.
FOX 5’s Maureen Umeh says an incident reportedly began around 12:45 a.m. and ended on the Shirlington Road ramp above northbound I-395, where a dark-colored vehicle crashed. Umeh says unconfirmed reports indicate there may have been a pursuit and four people inside the vehicle were injured in the collision.
Numerous police cruisers blocked the Shirlington Road entrance ramp during the overnight investigation. The Quaker Street exit into Shirlington Road was closed for several hours.
By 5 a.m., the scene on the ramp had cleared, and normal traffic resumed in the area.
Details regarding the police activity have not been confirmed by Virginia State Police. The investigation remains ongoing.
