Police: Man dies after shooting in Laurel

LAUREL, Md. - Prince George's County police are investigating a deadly shooting in a residential neighborhood nearby a shopping center in Laurel.

Police said they received a 911 call at around 2:20 p.m. Monday near a Taco Bell restaurant in the 13300 block of Laurel Bowie Road about a shooting.

According to police, the victim was wounded in a nearby neighborhood off of Avebury Drive and then brought to the restaurant to seek help.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police do not believe the shooting was random and investigators are working to identify a suspect.
