Fairfax County police are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a bus stop Monday night in Hybla Valley.
HYBLA VALLEY, Va. - Fairfax County police say they have a person of interest in custody after a woman was found dead inside a bus stop Monday night in Hybla Valley.
Officers were called to Richmond Highway, near Arlington Drive, shortly after 7 p.m. Police say a community member had called 911 to report an unresponsive woman.
What we know:
Police say the victim, an adult female, was found suffering from trauma to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives believe she arrived at the bus stop between 6 and 7 p.m.
The area is typically busy with both foot and vehicle traffic, and investigators are searching for surveillance video and witnesses. They are also working to identify the woman and confirm her age.
FCPD confirmed to FOX 5 that a person of interest, Abdul Jalloh, 32, was arrested at a liquor store for petit larceny and is in custody.
