Man fatally shot on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON - Police say a man was shot and killed in Southeast D.C. Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to the scene just before 3 p.m. in the 3100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are on the lookout for a black male suspect wearing a white shirt and was seen driving a green vehicle with Virginia tags.

The shooting remains under investigation.
