DC area forecast calls for mild weather ahead of late-week rain

The D.C. region will continue its extended dry spell with partly cloudy skies and temperatures rising into the low-to-mid 70s through Election Day and Wednesday. Rain chances return by Thursday afternoon as an approaching front finally breaks the dry streak and brings cooler weekend weather.
