Metro suspends late-night service for at least 2 more years

The board on Thursday approved schedule changes proposed by general manager Paul Wiedefeld, who argued that shorter operating hours are necessary to keep the system in good repair.

Metro used to stay open until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. It's been closing at midnight seven days a week since starting a nine-month maintenance blitz in June.
