Dulles International Airport is experiencing a power outage.According to the airport Public information officer Jonathon Freye, around 1:25 PM Saturday, the airport experienced two power surges due to an undervoltage in the supply delivered from Dominion Power.
Currently, power is out in the main terminal ticketing level, and concourses A, B, C, and D.
Dulles is still open and receiving flights. Officials are using mobile lounges to transport passengers from the aircraft to the terminal and the aero train is running.
MWAA police and fire crews are in thee terminal assisting with the movement of passengers.
So far, there have been no flight diversions.
Airport Operations is reporting that United Airlines has voluntarily elected to delay departures for the time being.
A Dominion Power spokesperson told FOX 5 that the power was restored around 4:15 PM.
