Unattended item cleared at Dulles Airport
DULLES, Va. - A portion of the baggage claim area and the main terminal's Arrivals and Departures area at Dulles International Airport was temporarily closed Tuesday for the investigation of an unattended item.
Just after 6:30 p.m., airport officials said the suspicious item was cleared and operations were back to normal at the ticketing and baggage claim levels.
Officials say several airline ticket check-in counters and baggage claim carousels were affected as airport police and fire personnel investigated the scene.
