Swimmer and 2 lifeguards rescued from the water in Ocean City

A swimmer and two members of the Ocean City Beach Patrol were rescued from the water in Ocean City Sunday afternoon.

A current swept a swimmer on the north end of the jetty into the inlet.

Two lifeguards were also swept out by the current when they jumped into the water to help the swimmer.

Station Ocean City launched a boat crew to rescue all three people from the water.

No injuries were reported.
