Reston man accused of shooting at cops charged with attempted capital murder

A Reston man who allegedly broke into a trailer in Loudoun County and then fired a gun at deputies has been charged with attempted capital murder.

Sheriff's Deputies were responding to a reported trespassing in Paeonian Springs around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday when the incident erupted.

A witness told the deputies that 29-year-old Hyeong Suh had forced his way into a trailer containing firearms on the property in the 39000 block of Peacock Springs.

Before the deputies arrived, Suh had reportedly fired a weapon.

They say Suh fired twice at responding deputies and they exchanged fire, striking the man.

Despite being wounded, Suh barricaded himself in the trailer before surrendering to the deputies.

Suh's injury was not life threatening.

He is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
