Recovered phone provides new leads in Heather Ciccone case

Authorities have located the cell phone that belonged to a 21-year-old woman who was found fatally shot inside her car at the end of a driveway.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office has confirmed to FOX 5 that Heather Ciccone received a call Sunday night, and she left shortly after getting that call.

She was found dead in her car Monday morning of a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Authorities also said additional leads were recovered from the phone, and they are confident they will close the case.
