GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Authorities say a man was shot and killed in a police-involved shooting in the Glen Burnie area of Anne Arundel County.
The shooting happened around 5:17 a.m. Monday morning in the 100 block of Linwood Avenue. Officers say they were serving a protective order to a man at the address when they saw that he was armed. Officials say the man's weapon went off during a struggle which led to officers opening fire. Police say the man was shot and killed during the incident.

Authorities say all schools in the area will open on time Monday. No transportation delays are expected in the area. No other injuries were reported.
