No injuries after fire evacuates Westin Hotel in D.C.

Firefighters were forced to evacuate the Westin Hotel on Thomas Circle in NW D.C.  after a fire broke out on the 1st floor of the building.on Saturday evening.

According to D.C. Fire and EMS, crews arrived on the scene and found smoke coming out from the top of the roof of the hotel located on the 1400 block of M Street N.W. in Washington.

There no reports of any injuries at this time.

 

The fire started on the 1st floor kitchen and it extended to the ductwork of the building according to D.C. Fire and EMS tweet.

All clear was given about an hour later and all guests were allowed back to their rooms.
