Don't drink and drive: Get free Lyft ride home on Cinco de Mayo

It will be a busy Saturday around the D.C. area as many will be attending Kentucky Derby parties, watching the Washington Capitals face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 5 of the NHL playoffs and celebrating Cinco de Mayo.

To make sure people don't drink and drive, the Washington Regional Alcohol Program's SoberRide program is teaming up with Lyft to provide free rides home.

From 7 p.m. Saturday until 4 a.m. Sunday, anyone who is 21 years old and older in the D.C. coverage area can get a Lyft ride worth up to $15 with a code that is entered in the Lyft app's "Promo" section.

However, the promo code is only valid for the first 1,500 Lyft passengers who enter it into the app. The code will be posted at 5 p.m. Saturday at www.wrap.org/soberride/index.htm.
