Police ID husband and wife found shot, killed in Anne Arundel Co. home

Police have identified the two people who were found dead in an Anne Arundel County home early Sunday morning.

Anne Arundel County police say the two victims, 55-year-old Charles James Edward Jackson, and his wife, 47-year-old Veronique Crystal Jackson, were found dead in their home in the 2000 block of Brigadier Boulevard in Odenton just after 7 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police say they were both found suffering from gunshot wounds. A resident of the home, a man, called 911 after finding the victims, police say. According to investigators, Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced both subjects deceased.

Anne Arundel County Homicide detectives have been collecting evidence and have spoken to witnesses as well as several family members.

The man who called 911 was being interviewed by authorities and has not been labeled as a suspect or person of interest, according to authorities.

The victims will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) for an autopsy, to be completed on Monday to determine the exact cause and manner of death, investigators say.

Photos from the scene provided to FOX 5 by a viewer show multiple police cruisers outside the home and crime scene tape surrounding the property.

Officials said that the deaths are believed to be a targeted incident and not a random act of violence.
