Washington Nationals collecting supplies for Hurricane Harvey, Irma relief

The Washington Nationals hope you can help them help hurricane victims.

Beginning today and running through Sunday September 17th, the Nationals will be collecting non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items to send to Texas and then possibly the southeast after Hurricane Irma hits.

Donations can be dropped off every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. During game times, donations will be accepted at the centerfield and home plate gates.

Outside of game times, donations can be dropped off at the first street gate.

Requested items include:

-Canned ready-to-eat fruits and vegetables with pull tops
-Protein in pouches or pull-top cans such as tuna, beef stew, chili, canned chicken
-Peanut butter
-Granola bars and breakfast bars
-Toilet Paper / Paper Towels
-Shampoo / Soap / Toothpaste / Toothbrushes
-Diapers
-Baby Wipes
-Diaper Cream
-Baby Formula
-Cleaning supplies: mops, mop buckets, brooms, bleach wipes, bleach, garbage bags
-Bug Spray
-Hand Sanitizer
