Deputies search for missing Charles Co. man

The Charles County Sheriff's Office is searching for a 28-year-old man reported missing on Sunday. Investigators say Robert Carter, III was last seen at the St. Charles Town Center around 4:30 p.m. and family members believe he may have gotten lost.

Carter is under a doctor's care and is without medicine and money. He is 6'4" tall and weighs 195 pounds. He has black hair, a mustache and beard. Carter was last seen wearing a brown jacket, black and white checkered shirt, white Nike tennis shoes and prescription glasses.

Carter lives on Springhill Road in LaPlata, and his relatives say he may be walking. He tends to go out at night instead of during the daytime. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
