Chase suspect arrested after being rescued from mud pits

A high speed chase ended up being a muddy mess after the officers had to rescue a suspect who jumped into a river.

The man being rescued and led away was originally the passenger in the chase.

Officers stopped a truck he was riding in because the original driver had two felony warrants for aggravated assault.

While they were taking him into custody, the new suspect slid into the driver's seat and took off.

The investigation is still continuing.
