3-year-old dies after dental procedure; family continues fight for oversight

Friends and family of a three-year girl who died after a dental procedure gathered Sunday to remember the child.

Finley Boyle died of a heart attack during her December 2013 dental procedure, said KHON in a report online.

According to KHON , an autopsy revealed a combination of sedatives and anesthesia played a role in her death.

A settlement was reached with the insurance company and the dental office has closed since Boyle's death.

Family members want more oversight of pediatric dental offices.
