3 townhouses damaged in 2-alarm fire in Alexandria

One person has been transported to a local burn center after a two-alarm fire in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County.

The fire broke out at around 3:20 p.m. Thursday in the 3500 block of Holly Hill Road.

Fire officials say three townhouses have been damaged in the blaze.

An adult who was inside the home where the fire originated suffered burns and was taken to Burn Center at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. His condition is unknown at this time.

One firefighter was injured and was treated at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
