3 recovering after violent night of shootings in the District

WASHINGTON - Three people are recovering Wednesday after being shot overnight in the District.

Investigators say a woman was attacked and shot in the neck during an altercation after an accident on E Street in southeast around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Fifteen minutes later, officers say a man was shot on Jay Street in northeast.

Authorities say they are also investigating a shooting that happened at around 9 p.m. in the 1900 block of M Street in the northeast that left another man injured.

All victims were transported to local hospitals. Detectives have no word on motives or suspects at this time.
