Fitting a cardio workout into your exercise routine helps more than just your waistline. Research shows that cardiovascular activities help with blood flow which in turn helps the brain.

Scientists say regular aerobic exercise can even boost the part of the brain responsible for learning and memory known as the hippocampus.

And if you're still not sold, dancing is proven to create new nerve cell connections which help the brain grow.

So if working out is hard for you experts recommend starting off light and dancing to your favorite song. Experts say it's a great way to wake up in the morning and kick start your day with a little bit of cardio.
