Redskins player Su'a Cravens claims racial profiling during traffic stop in Virginia

- A player for the Washington Redskins claims racial profiling prompted a traffic stop in which he says he was pulled from his car, placed in handcuffs, and put into a patrol car.

22-year-old Su'a Cravens, a safety for the Redskins, was stopped on November 29th at a shopping center in Ashburn, Virginia.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office say deputies using radar tracked the car Cravens was driving going over the posted speed limit of 25 miles per hour. Officers say they initiated a traffic stop and issued Cravens a speeding ticket and an illegal tint ticket.

In a statement, Loudoun County Sheriff’s said: "This traffic stop was not a case of racial profiling. Additionally, the LCSO has not received any formal complaints regarding this matter and it would be inappropriate to comment further regarding any allegations and involving a pending court case."

In a video posted to TMZ Sports that Cravens shot while still in the shopping center parking lot after he was pulled over, he accuses officers of racial profiling and says police accused him of having marijuana in his vehicle. In the video, Cravens threatens to file a lawsuit.
