Police: Man broke into Chipotle, ate entire tray of barbacoa

D.C. police are searching for a man who broke into a downtown Chipotle restaurant during the early morning hours of New Year's Day.

According to the police report, police say the suspect forced open the front doors of the closed restaurant located in the 600 block of F Street in Northwest D.C. near Capital One Arena at around 3:09 a.m. Once he got inside, the suspect consumed $60 worth of barbacoa and destroyed the alarm control box inside the restaurant.

When the general manager arrived at the restaurant about three hours later, the suspect was sitting on a stool in the seating area, the police report says.

The suspect fled the scene and was last seen entering the neighboring McDonald's restaurant, police say.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect that was captured on a surveillance camera.
