Manhunt for husband accused of killing wife in Silver Spring apartment

A manhunt is underway for a husband accused of killing his wife in their Montgomery County apartment.

Police are searching for 30-year-old Ruel Francis Dempster II. Investigators say they found the body of his wife, 34-year-old Alice Mino Dennis, dead on the kitchen floor inside of their Bel Pre Road apartment in Silver Spring on April 18 after receiving a call to check on her welfare.

Officers say Dennis suffered trauma to her upper body. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators noted that many of Dempster's belongings had been removed from the apartment and believe he murdered his wife after a domestic argument.

Dempster is described as an African male, approximately 6-feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. He has a prominent gold front tooth.

Anyone with information about Dempster or his whereabouts are asked to call police at 301-279-8000 (24/7 line) or 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
