Man shot to death in Discount Mart in Seat Pleasant, police say

SEAT PLEASANT, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A customer has been shot to death inside a Discount Mart in Seat Pleasant, according to officials.

Seat Pleasant police said they responded to the scene in the 400 block of Eastern Avenue, NE at about 2:30 p.m.

The did not identify the man, but said he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Investigators say an employee - who they believe was lawfully armed - shot the victim when an altercation between the pair escalated.

Video from the scene showed a large police presence and police tape surrounding the building.
