Unite the Right DC: Counterprotesters drastically outnumber white supremacists in DC

- About 30 white nationalists were greeted by thousands of counterprotesters during the Unite the Right rally in the District near the White House on Sunday.

The Unite the Right rally, made up of white nationalists, white supremacist and neo-Nazis, was drastically outnumbered by counterprotesters who swarmed the streets near Lafayette Park.

The white nationalists, led by Jason Kessler, marched through D.C. surrounded by a protective bubble of police officers and vehicles as the crowds screamed at them. Police kept the two sides separated during the march and the rally.

The demonstration and counterdemonstration come on the anniversary of last year's deadly gathering of neo-Nazis, skinheads, Ku Klux Klan members, and others in Charlottesville, Virginia.
