A man has been arrested after a person was found dead in Old Town Alexandria, police said.

Just before noon Friday, police received a call about a suspicious man who got into a Mercedes vehicle parked on King Street. The man was described as Hispanic, naked and bleeding from his arm and hand, according to a police radio transmission.

Police said an officer then reported over radio that he had found a man inside Window Universe, a window replacement business, who was not breathing with blood everywhere. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers and detectives then swarmed the 1200 block of King Street and began concentrating their investigation at the entrance to the business.

A witness told FOX 5 that he found the manager of Window Universe inside a room that was ransacked along with blood all over.

Later Friday afternoon, police announced they charged a 34-year-old man with murder. He was being held without bond at the Alexandria Detention Center.

Police said the suspect and victim's identities will be released after next of kin is notified. The investigation is ongoing.

The homicide may be connected to the delivery of a package outside of the business. Alexandria police were seen examining and taking away a package that had been sitting on the sidewalk all afternoon. The owner of the Japanese restaurant located below Window Universe believes there was some kind of struggle over the package.

"Somebody tried to steal the package. That's what I heard," said Yuh Shimonoua, the owner of Nasime Japanese Restaurant. "I don't really know the detail about it … They keep my package. I don't know which one. I order similar item so I don't know which item."

Shimonoua said the items he ordered were not particularly valuable and they were everyday items such as detergent and paper rolls for the printer.

This is the second homicide in Alexandria this year, according to police.
