Stranger inappropriately touched 5-year-old girl in a Rockville library, police looking for suspect

ROCKVILLE, Md. - A stranger walked up to a 5-year-old girl inside Rockville Memorial Library, pulled down her pants and touched her inappropriately - and Montgomery County police are trying to find him.

The incident occurred at the library on Maryland Avenue on Saturday around 6 p.m.

The child screamed and ran to tell her parents, who called the police.

Investigators say they have reviewed library surveillance video, and saw a possible suspect lingering around the children's area for about 30 minutes before the incident occurred.

The suspect is reportedly a white male with a thin goatee and a medium build.
