Shots fired during domestic dispute at One Loudoun, deputies say

ASHBURN, Va. - A man fired shots into the air during a domestic dispute at One Loudoun on Friday, according to officials.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office told FOX 5 the incident happened in the 20700 block of Easthampton Plaza near the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema at One Loudoun in Ashburn.

According to authorities, there was a domestic dispute between a man and a woman in which the man attempted to shoot himself but fired shots into the air. Deputies said there were no injuries reported.

According to the sheriff's office, the woman was able to wrestle the gun away from the man and he fled the scene.

Officials said reports that there was an active shooter at the scene were erroneous. The suspect remained at large.
